WELCOME TO THE NEW THEME ALBUM CHALLENGE!
How would you like to create a Theme Album in 2009? We’re starting a brand new challenge at SBG to motivate you to complete any theme album of your choice.
Ever since I started scrapping, I always intended to create Theme Albums to commemorate important milestones. For example, I’ve always planned to create baby books and birthday books for each of my children. However, the months have turned to years and I haven’t completed a SINGLE theme album! Instead, I find myself usually scrapping moments and completing challenges because they are fun!
So, with the start of the New Year, we are launching this new challenge to motivate scrappers to complete a theme Album. Participants will simply complete one two-page layout each month on any topic of their choice (see ideas below). At the end of the year, participants will have a 24-page Theme Book completed, which can be printed in a bound-book if desired.
The topics for theme albums are many. Here is a list of some possibilities:

Garden/Plant Album
Christmas Album (Ex. 2 pages per year to cover a decade)

First and Favorites (Toys, TV shows, Clothing, Music, Shoes etc. that you child outgrows)
Heritage Album
Mom and Me Album (or Dad and Me) (new)
My Childhood
“MY” town Album
Nature Photos (new)
Pet Album
Recipe Album
School Days Album (Ex. 2 pages for each year of school)
Scripture Album (new)
Sisters Album
Special Wishes Wedding Album
The year XXXX (Ex. create 2-pagers to summarize each month)
This is Your Life (Ex. As a gift for someone’s birthday)
Travel Album (could be one destination or many destinations)

Year in Review Album (Ex. 2 pages summarizing each month)

12 Photos on the 12th (take a photo on the 12th of each month and scrap it)
365 Photos Album (take 1 photo per day and scrap each month’s photos)
As an added incentive, I’ll be offering a two-page template each month as a freebie for participants. Feel free to download the template if you plan to play along, however, it is not required that you use the template for your theme album.
