I do not have a face to see
\nor put inside a frame
\nI do not have soft cheeks to kiss
\nI don’t yet have a name.
\nYou can’t yet hold my tiny hands
\nNor whisper in my ear.
\nIt’s still too soon to sing a song,
\nOr cuddle me so near.
\nBut all will change come December
\nThat’s when they say I’m due.
\nI’m your new son.
\nI can’t wait til I meet you.
\nAll I ask between now and then
\nIs your patience while I grow.
\nI promise I’ll be worth the wait.
\nBecause of all the love we’ll know.
\nSo what I have to give you now,
\nIs a wish to you from me.
\nI cannot wait to be a part
